Tamara de la Flor Finetti
As an artist, I'm driven by curiosity, passion, and a deeply creative spirit. Professionally trained in fine arts and as a special effect make-up artist, I am constantly pushing the boundaries of creation, experimenting with different materials, colors and shapes. I have developed my own unique painting style and techniques that help people connect with their inner instincts, transmit their emotions and build their wellbeing.
Growing up, I struggled to find my own voice, accept myself and embrace my natural talents as an artist. Having experienced conditions like dyslexia, ADHD and anxiety, traditional education was difficult, hurting my self-esteem and personal development at the time. Today, those differences make me stronger as an individual. Expressive Art has not only been outlet for creativity and emotional support, it is now my strongest source of strength and pride.
I understand the challenges so many of us face today firsthand and can offer a path forward, not just embracing our differences but by building strength and belief in oneself. We should all able to connect and feel accepted. I launched BE YOU as a community that promotes a sense of belonging, growth and artistic creativity. Join us.
Tamara de la Flor Finetti holds a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from Emily Carr and a Diploma in Makeup Design for Film and Television from the Vancouver Film School. She has trained with published artists and has years of experience as an expressive art teacher helping kids, adults and the elderly find their inner voice through art. Born and raised in Peru, her connection to the culture can be found in many of her paintings. Today a dual citizen of Canada, she now calls Toronto her home.
